PROJECT DESCRIPTION

We seeks support for our award-winning Bright Futures project, allowing us to continue our vital work with young refugees and children seeking asylum in Kingston and surrounding boroughs in southwest London. Our Bright Futures project helps our children and young people, and their families rebuild their lives and facilitate a smooth transition into mainstream education and community inclusion.

Project Outcome Targets

• 95% will show academic progress in core subjects: Maths, English, Humanities, Science

• 95% will improve their English language skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing

• 90% will have a positive experience during school transitions

Project Activities

  • We provide weekly after-school sessions for ages 5–18

  • We provide twice-weekly supplementary classes for 16-25-year-olds, including unaccompanied minors

  • Our programme blends ESOL support, personalized academic tutoring, and extracurricular activities

  • One-on-one support prepares children for mainstream education, with around 10 professional teachers

  • We host a parents' ESOL support group during primary school sessions
