PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Care to Move: 100 Moves in 100 Homes is a county wide wellbeing campaign for older adults in care. We will deliver tailored physical activity sessions in 100 care homes across Gloucestershire, supporting movement, reducing isolation and boosting confidence. Led by trained staff, sessions are inclusive for residents with mobility challenges and dementia. The programme will be free for homes and build lasting community connections.

Project Outcome Targets

Project Activities

  • Tailored movement sessions in care homes led by trained coaches.

  • Interactive warmups and games to encourage confidence, laughter and participation.

  • Public nomination campaign to include underrepresented homes.

  • Digital campaign to raise awareness of elder wellbeing and celebrate participant stories.

  • On-site coaching for care staff to embed ongoing gentle movement routines.

PRODUCTS Portable fitness kit (bands, soft balls, cones, new age indoor curling), digital marketing and printed activity sheets. Flexible This will allow us to deliver the sessions, catering to individual needs and making sure it is accessible.
