Care to Move: 100 Moves in 100 Care Homes
Older adults in care homes across Gloucestershire, many with reduced mobility, dementia or loneliness. Staff and carers also benefit through upskilling and improved resident wellbeing. Families gain from strengthened home community links.
We plan to reach over 1,000 beneficiaries over the year.
Care to Move: 100 Moves in 100 Homes is a county wide wellbeing campaign for older adults in care. We will deliver tailored physical activity sessions in 100 care homes across Gloucestershire, supporting movement, reducing isolation and boosting confidence. Led by trained staff, sessions are inclusive for residents with mobility challenges and dementia. The programme will be free for homes and build lasting community connections.
This project will take place over 1 year.
