PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Mindset Matters is a targeted mental health and wellbeing programme delivered in schools across Gloucestershire. It equips young people with the tools, confidence, and resilience to manage mental health challenges, build emotional wellbeing, and develop life skills for the future. Our Vision: We aim to expand Mindset Matters to more schools across Gloucestershire, reaching young people in areas where access to mental health support is limited.

Project Outcome Targets

Improve resilience, confidence, and mental wellbeing of Key Stage 2 children in participating schools.

Engage students in creative activities, including T-shirt design, promoting mental health awareness.

Inspire positive mental health attitudes in schools and the wider community through player visits and sessions.

Project Activities

  • Deliver 4 mental health workshops in Key Stage 2 classrooms and field/sports halls across Gloucestershire schools.

  • Organise Cheltenham Town FC player visits to schools to inspire and reinforce positive messages.

  • Provide coaching sessions led by DBS-enhanced, paediatric first aid trained, FA-qualified staff.

  • Run an annual T-shirt design competition to engage students in creative mental health awareness.

  • Capture project impact through photography, videography, and marketing to share outcomes widely.
