Provide people with clean water in Turkana, Northern Kenya. This positively impacts on whole communities by providing them with clean water as well as their livestock that they rely on heavily.
A whole village community plus semi-nomadic people passing.
Rain in Turkana, Northen Kenya, is a rare event and thus the local people often lack access to a clean water source. Supporting the construction of water infrastructure such as a borehole provides communities with water day to day. Boreholes are sunk deep into the ground to reach the water table and are able to supply water for the local people many of whom are semi-nomadic, and the livestock that they rely on, throughout the year. This creates a more sustainable lifestyle for communities.
Each bore hole impacts on a whole village community.
