ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Warm Spaces are warm, safe community spaces where residents who are struggling to heat their homes can expect a friendly & inclusive welcome & a place to come & stay warm. Warm Spaces are community centres, places of worship & other community venues that will receive funding to open additional hours as a Warm Space for all in need in the community. Some Warm Spaces will offer additional support e.g. a hot meal, sociable activities & advice saving energy costs & keeping safe & warm at home.

Reduce social isolation & loneliness by creating inclusive activities that bring people together

  • Providing an online directory of Warm Spaces on the Communities 1st website

  • Working with community, faith and statutory organisations to promote warm spaces

  • Providing local volunteer training on food safety & energy awareness

  • Supporting organisations who act as Warm Spaces to recruit volunteers quickly
