PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This volunteering project will support adults who are currently unemployed due to mental health challenges or who are seeking to build experience and skills to future employment. This trauma-informed programme offers a safe and supportive environment where individuals can build confidence and gain practical experience towards their personal and professional goals. Volunteers will benefit from volunteer placements, 1:1 employment mentoring and access to a range of training opportunities.

Project Activities

  • Employ a volunteer co-ordinator who will recruit, train and mentor volunteers in their roles.

  • Volunteering opportunities to be advertised at the Job centre, GAVO and educational institutes.

  • Outcome measures will be provided to all volunteers during induction and at the end of the project.

  • Will support volunteers in a trauma-informed way to access volunteering opportunities.

  • Co-ordinator to deliver employment workshops on CV writing, interview skills and job searching.

MONEY Project resources and travel costs £4000 Flexible Project resources may vary in supporting individual needs to access volunteering, some of which may include travel.
MONEY Training £1500 Flexible Training costs will go towards safeguarding training for the co-ordinator and costings for volunteer training.
MONEY Recruitment £300 Flexible Costings for advertising and recruiting a volunteer co-ordinator
MONEY Central costs £5500 Flexible This includes management costs, accommodation costs and supervision costs.
