Barnardo's Newport Connect Duffryn
Barnardo’s Newport Connect already delivers successful Family Hubs and volunteer‑led support across other areas of Newport, demonstrating strong capability and proven impact. This project will build on our established model, expanding capacity to deliver consistent, high‑quality early help in Duffryn.
The need was verified through investigation including direct consultation and engagement with families in local areas of Newport, who highlighted gaps in early help and community support.
Improved wellbeing, family stability, activities and positive community pathways.
Early help, reduced stress, increased confidence and connection.
Accessible support, inclusion, reduced isolation and tailored activities.
Volunteering opportunities building skills, confidence and employability.
Practical support via partnerships, Barnardo’s Child Poverty Fund and local services.
