ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

The PTA at High Cross School wish to support the cultural development of our pupils and community by brining new experiences into the school to connect the children to the rich cultures of their community. We wish to bring music, cooking, dance and art to the school to enrich learning and excite the pupils in the world around them.

Activity goals

Connect pupils to the richness of the cultures around them, connecting them to their community.

Enrich learning with experiences they not have access to in other ways.

Activity Actions

  • Invite a program of music sessions in for each class to gain an understanding of world music.

  • Invite a program of cookery sessions in for each class to learn about the rich cultures of food

  • Invite a local artist in to explore cultural expression through art with the pupils.

  • Support the schools welsh dance program.
