ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

The PTA at High Cross Primary School seek to support a school wide woodworking project by inviting local craftspeople into the school to work with classes on a project and engaging pupils further with an offsite trip.

Children gain an understanding of craftsmanship and the importance of ethical production.

A woodwork project realised and displayed to inspire pride in the achievements of the pupils

  • Children to design and create a piece using heritage craft skills learnt

  • A visit to a local craftsperson for every child at the school.
