ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

At NWY ASBAH we provide a range of services specific to our member groups. These include our parent/ carer programmes, children and young people activities, NWY ASBAH peer support groups and our befriending scheme. By supporting, informing, and campaigning, North & West Yorkshire ASBAH is continuing to help promote individual choice, control, and quality of life for all the people who use our services.

Activity goals

For members to make new friends and try new things.

To share resources and sign-post members to helpful information so that they feel informed.

To offer a friendly ear in times of loneliness and isolation through our befriending service.

Activity Actions

  • To provide a telephone or email based befriending service supported by member volunteers.

  • To provide peer-support activities such as meals out, bowling, cinema trips, mini golf.

  • To organise fun activities, events and parties aimed at children and young adults.

  • To hold regular stay and play sessions for 0-9 year olds, as well as activities and outings.

  • To offer a range of activities to suit babies, preschoolers, children, pre-teens and teens.
