Kids Reconnect and Thrive

Beneficiaries

  • People with Disabilities

Every child should receive support to prepare for the rest of their life. Families with disabled children can face a demoralising battle to access support. The project will help families post lockdown to engage locally and access the tools they need.

  • Number of beneficiaries - 50

We expect to support 50 families.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project ensures disabled young people and their families can reconnect with each other, their community and local services. A breakdown of access to services and the support network has led to an insular and isolated existence for families. The project will be a family led programme of support for each member and family as a whole. We will work directly with parents, siblings and the child with disabilities so there is a shift from crisis management towards one of happy family experiences.
