PROJECT DESCRIPTION

KIDS is looking to develop a digital youth hub in conjuction with disabled children and young people enabling access to services they feel are most important to them, despite location and personal circumstance. The digital platform will be set up to support children and young people across a range of services from mental health support through to employability opportunities. The pandemic highlighted the need for a digital offering which breaks down barriers to in-person access.

Project Outcome Targets

To provide young people with the tools they need to access support at anytime and any place.

To expand our services digitally so that we are providing a more inclusive support package.

To engage our young people in the hub's development to provide a tailored package of support.

Project Activities

  • Online workshops focussing on wellbeing, based around the NHS 5 steps to wellbeing model.

  • Online forum and open discussions around issues regarding mental health and wellbeing.

  • Online employability workshops to provide disabled young people with a pathway into employment.

  • Online youth club forum for young people to connect up and down the country with shared interests.

  • An online information and advice service to help young people tackle current issues they are facing.
