PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Primary school children in Newport will co-create a *Cân Groeso* (Welcome Song) for Eisteddfod yr Urdd 2027 through workshops led by two local musicians - Dom and Lloyd. The project promotes Welsh language, creativity and community pride. The song will be recorded and a video created alongside the song, celebrating Newport’s young voices and cultural identity.

  • Working with Dom and Lloyd, song-writing workshops will be held in schools accross Newport County.

  • A music video will also be recorded by a videographer using local landmarks.

  • Music video will be published and promoted online.
