Wellbeing for Winter
Adults and young people aged 16+ living in Newport who are not currently accessing learning opportunities, including disadvantaged and minority groups, to promote diversity, inclusion and increase access to opportunities.
We will aim to engage with a minimum of 50 new learners.
The project will facilitate a series of workshops and courses to support health and wellbeing across Newport's most deprived areas. Subjects will focus on healthy eating and preparing warm nutritious meals, sewing skills to promote repairing and reusing garments, and cultural awareness through global festive crafts. The project will aim to engage with residents who are not currently accessing learning opportunities in Newport, breaking down barriers to opportunity and building confidence.
