ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

At Leeds Mencap, we aim to support children to have the best start in life. Our Youth Clubs are designed to help children and young people of all abilities to have the opportunity to socialise with their peers, learn skills and have fun in a safe, welcoming environment where they are supported.

Activity goals

For children and young people of all abilities to have the opportunity to socialise with their peers

For beneficiaries to build confidence, learn news skills and develop

To provide a safe, welcoming environment where children and young people are supported

Activity Actions

  • Tuesday Club for children age 9-13 and Thursday Club for teenagers aged 14-18

  • Friday Club to support young adults become more independent, improve their skills and make friends

  • 'SIBS' runs every Wednesday for children aged 7-14 who have a sibling with learning disabilities

  • Provide excellent facilities from inclusive outdoor play spaces, cycle tracks and trampolines

  • To create spaces specific to abilities including specialist sensory and soft play rooms.
