PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Working Families Benchmark is known for being rigorous and respected. It is the only UK benchmark measuring all aspects of flexible working and work life policies, and how these are integrated into an organisation’s values and culture. It gives employers an understanding of what they can do better in creating flexible, family friendly and productive workplaces. We need to upgrade and invest in its technology - so we can enhance reporting, track trends, gain insights and inform/influence policy.

Project Outcome Targets

The barriers that people with caring responsibilities face in the workplace are removed.

Parents can access and progress in quality, permanent, genuinely two-sided flexible work.

Employers have the tools they need to create flexible, family-friendly, high-performing workforces.

Project Activities

  • Gain investment and commission the work to upgrade the software behind the Benchmark.

  • Ensure new system will diminish all use of paper-based reporting.

  • Improve how information is input and reported - reduce misplaced time and resources to manage it.

  • Ensure employers have input into the development of the Benchmark at all stages.

  • Train Working Families employer team and members to use the software effectively.
