PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Annually, our Help Team support up to 4,600 older people, their families and carers in Gloucestershire to access the benefits they are entitled to, receive information, advice and guidance to navigate later life challenges, and to connect socially reducing loneliness so they can age well, their way.

Project Activities

  • Conduct 200 benefit checks for older people who contact our Help Team by phone

  • Support the submission of 275 Attendance Allowance applications & 200 Blue Badge applications

  • Conduct 280+ home visits to support older people with complex application form completion

  • Offer information and advice to older people based on their individual needs to navigate later life

  • Offer a befriending service to socially connect those who are experiencing loneliness
