Duffryn Thrive supports people in poverty by linking to the community pantry, building trust and access. It boosts confidence, skills, and job prospects through training, safe spaces, family support, and real work experience in the café.
The environment benefits through stewardship activities like gardening, recycling, and outdoor learning. These improve green spaces, boost biodiversity, reduce waste, and encourage sustainable habits within the community.
Marginalised people, especially those with poor mental health, gain safe spaces, support, and outdoor activities that reduce stress. Skills, routine, and volunteering build confidence, resilience, and pathways into training and work.
The community benefits through stronger connections, shared spaces, and inclusive activities. Improved skills and employment prospects boost the local economy, while the café and projects increase pride, wellbeing, and long-term resilience.
Unemployed people gain skills, accredited training, and hands-on experience through volunteering. They build confidence, improve employability, access support networks, and progress into education, training, or sustainable employment.
