PROJECT DESCRIPTION

As a community-based charity, everything we do supports local people. Our Community Engagement Officer plays a vital role in delivering services like wellbeing and fitness classes, a Foodbank, parent & toddler groups, and open access play sessions. They also help identify community needs, develop new initiatives, and secure funding to ensure our services remain relevant, inclusive, and impactful for all members of our community.

Project Outcome Targets

to support community participation in health & wellbeing with residents of all ages

promote social inclusion throughout the community by delivering social gatherings and support groups

to support local households to deal with the current cost-of-living crisis

Project Activities

  • Run a free parent & toddler group to ensure our parents have the opportunity to meet other parents

  • Community Foodbank to support anybody in need of the extra support to feed their families.

  • Free wellbeing sessions to support our residents with their mental health and wellbeing needs.

  • Free armchair yoga & Zumba removing barriers to seeking physical activities to maintain good health

  • develop volunteering opportunities to gain experience and confidence and build on skills
