ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

The activity will provide playful physical activities & wellbeing opportunities for children and young people. Research has shown that being outside in a rich environment builds resilience and community cohesion. The project will link with other initiatives in the Duffryn area to enhance children's holistic development while providing the mechanism for parents and carers to access information which enables them to develop skills which improve physical and mental wellbeing of their children.

  • Providing 3 outdoor physical play opportunities per week in Duffryn

  • Developing outdoor early years learning opportunities, delivered through parent workshops weekly

  • Using rich outdoor environments to enhance wellbeing and teach lifeskills to children weekly

  • Engage parents through training & volunteering opportunities to develop rich playable outdoor space
