ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

To use the appeal of the Premier League and Reading FC to support 11-25-year-olds who are marginalised or at risk of not reaching their potential; supporting them as they move through the education system and early adulthood.

Activity goals

IMPROVE children and young peoples’ personal and practical skills, and awareness of business/careers

GUIDE participants in/into training, education and employment opportunities.

CREATE opportunities for students to give back to their school and/or local community.

  • Introduction to the club and course - Progress chart, code of conduct, character development skills

  • Me, myself and I - self assessment wheel, positive alliteration, strengths, job objectives

  • Building Positive Relationships - Teamwork, social skills, putting teamwork into practice

  • How high can you aim - Dream job, skills & strengths, values and mission, SMART targeted

  • Appreciating others - empathy, where do I stand, body language, time management, stress management
