ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

The programme began in 2006 and uses the reach and appeal of the Premier League and network of professional football clubs to regularly engage children and young people of all backgrounds and abilities in football, sport and personal development – providing a trusted, positive influence in high-need areas across England and Wales. Using the power of football and appeal of professional football club’s brands Kicks aims to engage young people who may otherwise be difficult to reach.

Increase playing, coaching and officiating opportunities in football and a range of sports

  • Reduce anti social behaviour and fear of crime

  • Increased health and reduced health inequalities. Participation in sport is increased and sustained

  • Improved life chances for children and young people. Increased skills and employment

  • Strong, sustainable, cohesive communities and access to out of school activities

  • A reduction in people not in education, employment or training. A reduction in youth offending
