READING FC COMMUNITY TRUST Step 2 Success Family First Project

Beneficiaries

  • Children / Young People

Young people are referred into the programme by early help workers at Wokingham Borough Council. The Step 2 Success project has been able to help support young people in the Wokingham Borough who have school attendance percentages of 90% or below.

  • Number of beneficiaries - 20

We will work with 20 to 30 young people per year

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Young people today face a variety of ever-evolving challenges, with more than ever experiencing mental health issues. Teachers and practitioners in primary schools, secondary schools and the education sector face multiple pressures and each school has differing priorities, including approaches to pastoral care, behaviour management and emotional support. The vision is to use the appeal of Reading FC to support 8-16-year-olds who are marginalised or at risk of not reaching their potential
