Africa's Gift Shoes for Africa - Soul traders sought!
PROJECT DESCRIPTION

We raise funds through collecting footwear which we take and trade in Africa. We have an extensive network in Africa which enables us to do this sensitively, powerfully & creates employment. We therefore seek assistance acquiring footwear of all types. Any clearance stock, returned items or used footwear that is still wearable we would love to have donated. We can arrange collection of this if it is in an economic bundle. We guarantee that every item will find a new life in Africa.

    Access to affordable footwear is not common in many disadvantaged communities. Many children will gain access to affordable school footwear which can make the difference between getting to school and not due to school uniform policies.

Project Outcome Targets

We wish to get many high quality pairs of footwear to hard to reach community members in Africa.

We wish to get many pairs of black school shoes to communities that require these items for uniform.

We wish to raise funds for our work through the trade of footwear in conjunction with our partner.

Project Activities

  • We collect footwear from specialist running shops who a have a dump bin for used items.

  • We collect from schools, universities and works that enable community members to donate used items.

  • We collect from companies and distribution centers stock that must leave Europe or be destroyed.

  • We enable community organizations to use footwear as rewards for environment stewardship activities.

  • We heavily subsidize the cost of trail running shoes to promote physical activity with great success
