The Aloud Charity Aloud Singing Workshops

Beneficiaries

  • The General Public / Mankind

The workshops will be open for people of all ages to experience the joy of group singing. They will provide escapism to support people's mental wellbeing and offer tips to improve singing technique. We'll celebrate Welsh culture through song.

  • Children / Young People

Engaging with young people through the workshops would promote our Only Boys Aloud Cwmbran group, who rehearse weekly. We aim to break stereotypes that it's 'not cool' to sing, improving the confidence/self-assurance of young men in a safe space.

  • Number of beneficiaries - 180

20 per session (depending on attendance on the day)

  • Reach of your work

More young men attending weekly OBA Cwmbran rehearsals.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

A fun and engaging series of singing workshops for families and young people in Newport. Delivered by professional Choir Leaders, we would give the general public a taste of what it's like to sing with Aloud by delivering fun singing games and teaching sections of key repertoire. We will deliver 3 workshops a day (1 hour each) across 3 weekends in the summer holidays, connecting with existing family events at Tredegar House and the Riverfront. We'll use social media and school links to promote.
