Just be a Child Adopt a Library

Beneficiaries

  • Children / Young People

Everyone who engages with our libraries in Kenya benefit: schools, teachers, young adults, visitors but mainly children.

  • Number of beneficiaries - 8280

The activities and the libraries are extremely popular.

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

We never walk away from a partner community, which means that by 2030 we will have at least 15 libraries to look after - the rest will be built on self-repair agreement with other partners. This means that we need to restock, repaint, hold developmental activities and training, repair and otherwise reinvigorate and rejuvenate both the project and the community. The minimal cost per year is £1,500 and maximum is £3,000 - the amount raised will dictate how much involvement we can have.
