Cirencester Opportunity Group Limited Early Intervention Needs Led Support
PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Children aged 0-4 with additional needs/disabilities & those experiencing disadvantage and/or deprivation require specific Early Intervention support from our trained staff. We need funding to enable us to continue to provide special educational & additional needs support for families with very young children, so that families can overcome a combination of challenges, relating to health/disability, deprivation, social isolation etc to enable every child & family to thrive.

Approximately 120 parents/carers will receive support.

Project Outcome Targets

Children/Families will be supported to access specialised support based on their individual needs.

The developmental needs of each child will be met (cognitive, physical, social and emotional).

Early Intervention groups & 1:1 support will create opportunities & dedicated support for families.

Project Activities

  • Gently assessing the developmental needs of each child.

  • Identifying what interventions will support each child to reach their developmental goals.

  • Our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators will work one-to-one and in small groups to meet needs.

  • Specifically themed and created parent & child activity groups will promote bonding and attachment.

  • Co-produced parenting groups and 1:1 engagement will support parents/carers to navigate parenting challenges.
