ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Established in 2012, our Oxford group hosts our most diverse calendar of events and activities. Based in the vibrant heart of the City, we work with a dedicated team of volunteers to support individuals living with and affected by brain injury. Our Oxford group is a hub or artistic expression and runs regular drop in art groups and has explored artistic expression through fashion shows, art exhibitions and short films.

Activity goals

To improve the health and wellbeing of brain injury survivors.

To reach members who would otherwise be isolating from COVID and to reduce feelings of loneliness.

Activity Actions

  • Run programme of activities where members can socialise with others, try different activities

  • Hold monthly semi-formal roundtable meetings where brain injury survivors

  • To publicise what we do to encourage ABI survivors to join and to reach volunteers and professionals

  • Run our online activity programme, WhatsApp groups and ‘sunshine calls' for isolating members

  • Run meetings for members to come together to discuss topics of interest, hear talks, plan events etc
