PROJECT DESCRIPTION

We have recruited a network of frontline care workers from across the UK to share regional insights, collaborate, and enhance skills and visibility. Participants are paid for their time and receive training and development opportunities.

Project Outcome Targets

Enhance visibility by care workers speaking directly to the press (Media training provided.)

Speak directly to MP's, care sector leaders and other decision makers to influence policy.

Amplify their voices on issues affecting them, by speaking directly to the care worker community.

Project Activities

  • Recruiting and training care workers to become care worker champions.

  • Care worker board members attend bi-monthly online meetings to plan, Professional Care Workers week.

  • Care Worker Champions to attend media and public speaking training.

  • Care Worker Champions to write for trade press, media and speak at universities.

  • Care worker board members to contribute to an annual wellbeing survey for care workers.
