ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Wheely Tots has been running Your Bike Project in Tottenham for 18 months with good results. We are seeking funding to expand the project to a new location to work with more young people. Your Bike Project focuses on young people aged 11-18 years and offers positive activities based around bikes and cycling.

Activity goals

3 young people per year to be trained as bike mechanic and/or cycle instructors

1 young person per year takes a hands on role with social media & benefits from relevant training

Young people feel more connected with their local community (theory of change model to be used)

Activity Actions

  • Positive activities with bikes & cycling facilitated by trained cycle instructors & bike mechanics.

  • Young people are encouraged to learn and share skills to support each other and the wider community.

  • Participants are paired with a 'buddy' during the sessions to support and learn from each other.
