ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Bridges to Prosperity builds bridges to better lives in rural communities, helping solve a root cause of poverty for 1 billion people globally. Price & Myers sponsors the construction of one these bridges in 2022 by both, paying a sponsorship to cover part of the costs of construction, and by sending a group of volunteers to build the superstructure of the bridge together with Bridges to Prosperity's construction team and the local community members.

Project activities

  • Ground-Breaking in July 2022, hiring and average of 20 to 30 local community workers every day

  • Excavations and Substructure works carried out between August and September 2022

  • Preparation and training for the team of volunteers between AUG and SEP 2022 before travelling

  • Team of volunteers traveling to Rwanda to spend 2 weeks living nearby the project in rural Rwanda.

  • 2 weeks of construction of the superstructure of the bridge (substructure already built by B2P).
