PROJECT DESCRIPTION

“An Art A Day” is a creative wellbeing programme offering daily, free and low-cost creative activities to Newport residents of all ages, focusing on isolated, marginalised and economically disadvantaged communities.

Improve mental health and wellbeing through daily creative and social engagement opportunities.

Project Activities

  • Deliver free weekly choir, art, book, music and LGBTQ+ social clubs at The Riverfront.

  • Offer subsidised arts tickets and creative workshops for low-income families during summer.

  • Engage professional creatives from Newport to run inclusive workshops and exhibitions.

  • Create safe, affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ and home-educated youth to build peer support through art

  • Embed skill-building in creative sessions to increase confidence, especially in underserved areas
