    Would be able to visit and inspired to participate and delight in the success on a local and international stage through cycling.

    Would be encouraged to remain active and see both the mental and physical benefits to engagement. They could also share their stories of how the velodrome has inspired them and the pride they feel in the city.

  • People with Disabilities

    Para Cycling is a fantastic and important opportunity for people with disabilities having significant mental and physical benefits.

  • The General Public / Mankind

    There is significant economic benefit to sports tourism, which we are able to see success from when events are held at the national facility. However to enhance the visitor experience and ensure there is a reason to visit would welcome even more.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

We would like to launch an enhanced and improved visitor experience capturing the impact and outcomes from the activity that takes place in the velodrome. This would start at 2025 and look forward. Over the coming years we also want to look back and capture the history of the velodrome, offering a great additional reason for people to visit the Wales national facility, Sports Tourism is an ever expanding opportunity to welcome visitors to the city with significant economic impact.

  • Create a visitor experience - museum style informative insight developed annually on display.

  • Showcase the impact of the velodrome to schools and young people inspiring them to cycle

  • helping to boost engagement in cycling with a natural benefit to active travel by positive influence

  • Funding would enable us to launch this project, capturing a set period, that can then expand
