Raven House Trust Limited Breaking Barriers to Opportunity

Beneficiaries

  • Children / Young People

We will support children and young people in poverty, inviting them to our hubs. They will have the opportunity to take part in activities and hobbies they wouldn't otherwise, meet other children and have warm food.

  • Adults

We support many adults and know that this will provide them with a sense of purpose, reduce isolation, communication, food and the chance to escape their situations whilst doing some fun hobbies. During this time we can provide advice and support.

  • People Of A Particular Ethnic Or Racial Origin

We support a wide variety of people from minority groups, many whose first language isn't English/Welsh. This will help them feel less isolated and provide them with vital support, friendship and a sense of community.

  • Homeless & ex convicts

We support the homeless to improve their situations. We will not only provide them with a safe place to come and meet people, have warm food and get help but they will be able to find joy in taking part in the hobbies we will offer such as gardening.

  • People in poverty

Our goal is to support people in poverty. Daily survival in times of crisis can be tough and this project will give them an opportunity to do something fun whilst gaining valuable support to break the cycle they are in.

  • Number of beneficiaries - 384

We envisage this to be the minimum and a lot more to benefit

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

We are breaking the cycle of poverty by giving our most vulnerable community members a safe place to come, meet others, improve their wellbeing and build positive independent lives, free from poverty, isolation and lack of opportunity. Through the joy of gardening, hobbies, and the chance to spend time with other community members having a warm meal or hot drink together, individuals will be able to come together and tackle barriers they are facing such as homelessness in a positive environment
