PROJECT DESCRIPTION

We bought a café in October last year. Any profit from the café goes towards funding our social supermarket - supporting over 300 families each week. We intend to open the café 2 evenings a week for families on low incomes to receive a free meal for each family member and also have a space where the children can do their homework and spend time together, in safety as a family.

To improve access of food to families in most need.

To promote community cohesion and to provide a structure and weekly support for many families

  • Opening the café 2 evenings a week just for families in need.

  • Working alongside 14 local schools to engage most needy.

  • Working alongside Torbay Council to promote the venture.

  • Creating a safe space where children can get homework done and play.

  • Link families up to other agencies - wrap around support.
