Reducing the risk factors associated with suicide among young homeless adults with complex multiple trauma, lifting them out of hostels and giving them direction to determine a positive trajectory in life.
We want to expand the programme to encompass all of NI
Into Tomorrow is a unique suicide prevention programme established in 2018 to combat the shocking statistics coming out of Belfast. Northern Ireland has the highest suicide rate in the UK and we work with young homeless adults who are experiencing multiple risk factors associated with suicide including addictions, care and justice system involvement and family estrangement. Despite the trauma these young people face, systems are not designed to support complex cases.
This is a multi-year participatory programme.
All participants have a key worker who monitors mental health via clinical scales and measures goals
