    We are looking to grow the club especially the girls section at the football club. We currently have 2 girls teams and over 45 girls registered. We aim to double this within 2 years.

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

We are a newly created community football club within Newport. We are the Lliswerry Llizards FC Cic. Our aim is to provide a safe and inclusive environment where children are able to excel and play football. We have over 14 teams in our first season and are growing every month. We have over 170 players registered. Girls and boys teams and are looking to invest in facilities to offer more training and better coaching for the children. We will require additional equipment and improved facilities.

Activity goals

Increase our girls section from 2 teams currently to 4 within the next 24 months.

Increase club membership of players from currently 170 to over 230 players within 2 years.

Offer teenagers at high school who are eligible and willing to undergo their FAW leaders award.

Activity Actions

  • Offering open training sessions during the summer.

  • Offering summer camps for certain age groups for players.

  • Advertising locally on social media and also through schools.

  • Offering new volunteers free courses and FAW first aid.

  • Offering volunteers reduced subs for their daughters and sons.
