Beneficiaries

  • People in poverty

    The project will reach to adults and their families living on the food poverty line, using the schools to target vulnerable families so the correct people can be reached

  • Children / Young People

    The families and children of the adults we are teaching will be directly positively impacted via the food cooked initially and then the far reaching effects of the educational parts of the course.

  • Community

    The community will be positively impacted by members of the local school community encouraging others to be involved, we will be actively encouraging schools to invite community leaders in to observe the sessions.

  • Number of beneficiaries - 100

    We will directly be teaching around 60-80 people

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Working with local Schools we will be bringing our budget healthy cooking programme into the community. Every session we will cook healthy nutritious family friendly meals to take home alongside knowledge booklets, store cupboard ingredients and lots of confidence to recreate in their own kitchen.

Inter generational cooking to ensure we reach the family

Project Outcome Targets

Through sessions adults chose healthy options to cook family meals

Through Knowledge families learn budget conscious recipes and how to cook on a budget.

Learn to prepare 15 healthy budget conscious family friendly meals at the end of the 5 sessions.

Project Activities

  • Engaging with community groups through the Primary Schools

  • Working alongside the Community Schools to ensure the correct people are being targeted to attend.

  • Actively gaining feedback from the groups to ascertain changes that are needed on the course.

  • Attending food networking meetings to link with local food partnerships
