    Charities and local authorities can refer people they are supporting to Tech-Takeback for a free laptop; enabling the charity to provide online support and enabling the individual to access education, employment, other services.

    People are digitally excluded for a wide range of reasons. We offer free laptops and training to anyone who doesn’t have access to a laptop or PC at home, and who can demonstrate significant or urgent need for a device.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

We aim to divert 26 tonnes of reusable tech from prematurely becoming e-waste, supporting digital inclusion and environmental sustainability. We will do this by: - doorstep business and household collections - pop-up collection events and drop boxes - secure data erasure of all data-bearing devices - repair and refurbishment of reuseable devices - reuse to support digital inclusion - disassembly of unusable devices for parts, resource recovery and responsible recycling - ESE impact measurement
