Tech-Takeback Ltd. Connected by Christmas Campaign

Beneficiaries

  • People in poverty

In digital poverty, people lack internet access, blocking jobs, education, healthcare, and financial services. Donating a laptop gives them the tools to connect, learn, and improve their situation.

  • Community

Donated laptops empower Brighton & Hove residents to access jobs, education, healthcare, and vital services. By funding devices, we strengthen community connections, reduce inequality, and create opportunities for all this Christmas.

  • Environment

Every laptop diverted from landfill saves 25.9kg of CO₂, 36.3m³ of water and 126kg of rare earths. Our project cuts emissions, conserves resources, and protects the planet while connecting communities this Christmas.

  • Number of beneficiaries - 300

As many individuals as we can get a device sent out to.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This winter, applications for laptops from digitally excluded residents have surged by 800%. For the first time in five years, we’ve had to create waiting lists. Our Connected by Christmas appeal aims to deliver 300 refurbished laptops to Sussex residents by Christmas. Every donated device is securely data-erased, refurbished, and redistributed locally; with personalised environmental and social impact reports for your organisation.
