Newport Now BID Urban Beach

Beneficiaries

  • Children / Young People

This project is aimed at families with younger chidren.

  • Number of beneficiaries - 600

All BID levy payers will benefit from increased footfall.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

We will bring an urban beach into John Frost Square in the city centre from August 1 to 31 inclusive. Bringing the beach in for a month will increase footfall and visitor numbers, and will be particularly popular with families during the school summer holidays. Free to use, we think the beach will be useful for poorer families who find holidays and visits to attractions to be out of reach financially.
