PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The first ever Afro Cymru Festival is a cultural initiative aimed at promoting Afrobeats/Welsh music and its vibrant heritage within Welsh communities. Through music, dance, education, and performances, the project seeks to build cultural bridges between African and Welsh communities, while offering a platform for Afrobeat artists and creatives to thrive in Wales.

  • Afro Welsh fusion performances

  • The Owambe costume party - a traditional african fashion/food and music expo

  • Visual Arts Exhibition - Spoken word, dance groups.

  • African/Carribean independence days Celebrations ( e.g. Nigeria, Zambia, Jamaica)
