We would like to see all generations come together in a community which thrives and enriches, and we know that an activity like chess can achieve that goal.
Elderly people especially on their own can feel lonely and a tournament like this will provide a friendly haven and occupation that will help alleviate such loneliness.
We find a lot of children take up chess in their early years. This activity is sociable and friendly and will keep them away from trouble and off the streets where they can often fall into a negative lifestyle.
These are active chess players who enter the tournament
We would like to see all generations come together in a community tournament which thrives and enriches, and we know that an activity like chess can achieve that goal. Often the younger generation particularly can feel excluded from some activities and fall into a negative lifestyle; however, we believe strongly that we can provide an activity which nurtures positivity in outlook and lifestyle, encouraging a further sense of achievement in a competitive but friendly environment.
Anyone interested in chess can enter.
