Hooked on Books: a reading for pleasure initiative
We’re running interactive reading-for-pleasure workshops for children, sparking curiosity and a love for books. By making reading fun and engaging, we aim to inspire lifelong readers and improve literacy, particularly in underserved communities. Our goal is to create more opportunities for children to explore the joy of reading both at home and in school. The scope of this project is wide, with varying initiatives which could be run with a range of funding support.
Children, especially in underserved communities, who face barriers to literacy. Families and educators will also benefit from resources and support to create environments that foster a love for reading, empowering long-term educational growth.
