Alway Amateur Boxing Club Equipment for Gym
PROJECT DESCRIPTION

We require boxing matts (soft flooring) for the gym. We need appropriate seating for the waiting area. We need a complete renovation of the toilet room (toilet, sink, walls and floor). The interior of the entire building requires repainting. We currently have no heating inside the building (no radiators) and it is extremely cold during the winter months. All of this is doable with the funds for the materials, as we have people offering to do the work free or at a reduced cost.

    Youths are a majority percentage of the club's members being trained and using the gym equipment etc, so this will greatly benefit the visuals and comfort of the club and enable us to continue to provide a safe welcoming space for people to train.

Retain and increase membership so we can continue to support local businesses who sponsor our shows.

Project Activities

  • We secured funding to purchase new equipment two years ago to refit and replace the punching bags.

  • We continue to self-promote on our social media pages.

  • We have secured contractors willing to complete the necessary works free of charge or at reduction.

  • Local businesses are sponsoring our show in November, giving them promotional opportunity.

  • We are already seeking materials at as low cost as possible to ensure cost-effectiveness.
