The initial ambition of the work is to create a platform which would be accessible to both public, private and 3rd sector organisations , locally and nationally to enable them to make data-driven & better informed social value decisions.

The first hackathon, and the overarching project, have the goal of creating a social value data platform with easy to access, credible & transparent data. The first hackathon is a one-week event where a prototype of this data platform is created - with a focus on economic inequality & equal opportunity and Plymouth. This initial pilot hackathon is intended to ‘inform and excite’ ultimately supporting a wider business case to resource a fully scaled UK wide open-source social value data platform.
