This programme will help with the digital skills divide between young & older people. It will also help skills based volunteering and promote cv building workshops to build confidence and employability skills.
The activity will help older people find skills connection with younger people who may be more digitally savy. They will build bonds and relationships far beyond the grant activities. Social media ease of navigation will also be a shared learning.
The project will reach 50 people in port Talbot
This programme will help with the digital skills divide and help support young & older people. We live & volunteer in an area with a large African Caribbean community. Many people speak of unmet social, educational , employment skills & wellbeing needs: lack of cohesion, belonging, social isolation, racism, lack of digital skills etc. We focus on increasing access to decent jobs, better services, and more secure livelihoods that help traditionally excluded people to participate fully.
Combat antisocial behaviour and bring respect to elders
