ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

The Africa Carnival Fest will feature a series of festival activities ranging from; a drumming performance, West African dance, African Folk-lore, Textile costume display, diverse food display, and family fun day (Bouncy castle/face painting, African arts and crafts).

Celebrate African culture in Newport by delivering the first African Carnival.

Promote West African cuisine and appeal to diverse palates.

Host African Carnival Fest through a series of activities.
Host talent-building and public speaking workshops to help foster integration.
Host a chat forum to facilitate discussions between young and elderly people of African heritage.
An open Q&A session to allow conversations to flourish. ( Demystify cultural myths).
Create support for refugees and asylum seekers.
