PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Croeso Newport is a community language programme supporting immigrant children in Newport to learn Welsh and integrate confidently into Welsh society. Weekly Saturday classes and daily holiday sessions will provide structured Welsh language learning, cultural activities and community engagement. The programme helps children succeed in school, build confidence and strengthen connection with their local community.

    Immigrant children and young people living in Newport, particularly those from families with limited Welsh language exposure who need support integrating into Welsh schools and communities.

  • Number of beneficiaries - 40

    Weekly classes plus daily holiday sessions.

  • Language practice groups and interactive learning games.

  • Parent engagement sessions supporting children’s language development.
