BlueApples
BlueApples is a CultureMindsUK employment -readiness project supporting young people/adults facing barriers to enter or progress into healthcare careers. The project will provide confidence building workshops, career guidance, employability training, employment opportunities, in the healthcare sector, CV/interview support, mentoring, and practical workplace preparation. It will particularly support young people, people from disadvantaged communities, individuals with limited work experience, college and University graduates from under-represented communities, and those needing extra training or encouragement to start or change careers into health and care roles.
Children and young people will gain confidence, career awareness, employability skills, mentoring, CV/interview support and practical guidance to explore healthcare careers and move towards training, work experience or employment.
People with disabilities will benefit through accessible training, tailored mentoring, confidence-building, CV/interview support, workplace preparation, and guidance into suitable healthcare roles.
BlueApples will support people from ethnic minority and under-represented communities by improving access to healthcare careers through training, mentoring, confidence-building, CV/interview support, and employer links.
Adults will gain confidence, employability skills, healthcare career guidance, CV/interview support, mentoring, and workplace preparation to access training, employment, or career progression.
The public will benefit from a more skilled, diverse and confident healthcare workforce, improved access to care, reduced unemployment, stronger communities, and better opportunities for people facing barriers to build meaningful careers.
Unemployed participants will gain confidence, employability skills, CV/interview support, mentoring, training and direct guidance into healthcare roles, improving their readiness for work and access to employment opportunities.
Students and learners will gain confidence, career guidance, employability skills, CV/interview support, mentoring, healthcare-sector awareness, and practical preparation to access training, placements and employment opportunities.
25-45 young people & adults from under-represented groups
12-20 children & YPs with needs will be supported annually
